About the Course
Blessed Birthings is a spiritually rooted childbirth education and fiqh-based guide designed for Muslim women who want to approach pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period with knowledge, clarity, and deep trust in their Lord. Whether you are expecting your first child, preparing for a future pregnancy, or supporting others as a doula or birth worker, this course integrates Islamic spirituality, Hanafi fiqh, and evidence-based childbirth education into one grounded, faith-filled learning experience. This course includes the complete 4-hour recording of the Blessed Birthings workshop, giving you full access to the exact teaching delivered live—rich with Qur’anic reminders, birth physiology, emotional preparation, and practical guidance. You’ll also receive a course syllabus and downloadable student handouts to support your learning. You will explore how Allah created the body to birth naturally and powerfully, and learn how to reconnect with your God-given ability to birth with confidence. The course guides you through natural coping methods, dhikr-based breathing, emotional readiness, labor positions, and how to create a spiritually uplifting birth environment—whether at home, a birth center, or in a hospital. In the fiqh section, you’ll learn the essential rulings every woman needs for pregnancy and labor: purification, prayer modifications, tayammum, istihaadha, and the correct understanding of nifaas and postpartum worship. The course also covers newborn sunnahs, early postpartum rites, and the fiqh of intimacy after birth. Through Qur’anic reflection—especially the powerful story of Lady Maryam (AS) and the sincerity of her mother Hannah—and the reminder that the womb (ar-rahim) is derived from Allah’s Name Ar-Rahmān, you’ll be guided to prepare with tawakkul, emotional steadiness, and spiritual presence. You will walk into birth connected to your body, your baby, and your Creator—anchored in trust, strengthened by knowledge, and ready for a blessed beginning into motherhood.

What Women Are Saying
Hear how this workshop has deepened women’s connection to Allah and transformed their birth journeys.
Alhamdulillah, I had my second daughter in October. It was the most spiritual, sensational, beautiful experience I’ve ever had. When people asked me how my labor was, I always got the weirdest looks when I would say I really enjoyed it. JazakAllah khair, sister, for your hard work and incredibly thoughtful insight.

The instructor was great, mashaAllah! Very helpful and enthusiastic — also very inspirational. I’ve never studied birth like this!

The Blessed Birthings class greatly enhanced my birth experience with my second child, and I wish I could have benefited from it for my first. There was a dramatic difference between the two births. Because I waited for my body when it was truly ready to go into labor, my second child’s birth happened more smoothly than my induction with my first. I experienced less pain, my body began lactating more quickly, and overall recovery was easier. I am so thankful I took this course and highly recommend it to all expectant mothers.

We are so grateful to Ustadha Shamira for agreeing to be our virtual doula. The guidance she provided in real time as tough decisions were thrown our way was priceless. Her strong faith and the way she tied decisions to Islamic principles were a highlight for me. She guided me on praying and missed prayers during labor and encouraged me to make du‘a throughout, even when labor felt overwhelming. Her coaching to breathe and use Allah’s Names changed the course of my labor and carried me through the strongest Pitocin contractions. I felt closer to Allah throughout the entire labor. Ustadha Shamira remained calm, steady, and reassuring — we are so grateful.

JazakAllah khair for teaching this amazing class. It was so inspiring and encouraging for me.

Ustadha Shamira’s classes were fun to listen to; her energy was upbeat and cheerful, and she managed to fit a whole lot of information into a short period of time, mashaAllah. She often reminded women to discuss their decisions and particular circumstances with their care providers, offered the right questions to ask, and placed a heavy emphasis on strengthening one’s relationship with Allah. Alhamdulillah — what more could one ask for in a childbirth education class?

This was such an amazing class, and I am grateful Allah guided me toward it. I left feeling inspired — this course gave me so much hope and reminded me of how compassionate and merciful Allah is. I pray others benefit from this course as much as I did.
